Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 August 2026

These terms govern the use of Griot, a content generation and scheduling service published by CREATECH+. By creating an account, you agree to them.

1. The Service

Griot generates content proposals — text, and visuals when this option is enabled — based on the brand guidelines you describe (tone, topics, editorial pillars).

It also lets you schedule the publication of this content and receive reminders on the planned dates.

In this first version, Griot never publishes automatically to your social networks: publishing remains entirely under your control.

2. Account and Workspace

Access to Griot requires creating an account, linked to a unique email address.

You are solely responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for any activity carried out from your account.

Your workspace data — brands, content, contacts — remains strictly private and isolated: it is never accessible to other users of the service.

3. Credits and Subscriptions

Each piece of content delivered by Griot consumes one credit.

Credits included in a subscription are granted month by month, for an annual plan as well as for a monthly plan: each month of the subscription period opens a new allowance, identical from one month to the next.

These credits do not carry over: any unused balance from one month expires when the next month begins; where a monthly subscription is renewed early, the new allowance is added to the remaining balance until the new due date.

Any subscription credit balance still available is lost at the end of the grace period that follows the due date of the subscription.

Credits purchased as a pack may carry a validity period of one hundred and eighty (180) days from their purchase.

Where this validity period applies, the expiry date of the credits concerned is shown in your billing area, and reminders are sent to you beforehand.

Pack credits acquired before this clause took effect carry no validity period: they remain usable without any time limit.

If a generation fails for a technical reason, the corresponding credit is automatically refunded, unless it has expired in the meantime: an expired credit is not restored.

The prices displayed at the time of your order, in FCFA or in the local currency applicable to your country, are binding and apply to the transaction.

4. Payment and Invoicing

Payments are made through our payment provider NeoPay, with the payment methods available in your country — including mobile money.

A subscription is taken out for a monthly or an annual period, depending on the plan chosen. An annual subscription is paid in a single instalment and corresponds, at the prices in force, to twelve months of access for the price of ten.

With early renewal of the same plan, no days are lost: the new period is added after the current period, starting from its end date.

When your subscription renewal is manual, you receive reminders before the due date, followed by a grace period in case of delay.

If no payment is made by the end of this period, your account automatically reverts to the free plan, without loss of your data: your existing brands and content remain intact and accessible.

Billing information — company name, business registration number, tax identification number, address — is optional: you provide it if you wish, and you warrant that it is accurate.

It is reproduced as-is on invoices issued after it is entered. Invoices already issued are final: they are neither amended nor reissued afterwards.

5. Plan Changes and Promotional Codes

You may request a plan change at any time. When you subscribe to a different plan while a paid period is still running, the unused part of your subscription is returned to you as a credit note, calculated pro rata to the days remaining in the current period and deducted from the amount payable.

The credit note is calculated on the price of the plan for the current period, discounts deducted, and its amount is shown to you before any payment.

A plan change opens a new period: any unused subscription credit balance from the previous period expires at the time of the change.

Where the credit note covers the price of the new plan — the case when moving to a less expensive plan — no payment is requested and the change can only be made from the end of the current period, the date of which is shown to you.

Credit packs give rise to no credit note and are unaffected by any plan change: buying them is independent of your subscription.

A promotional code applies a percentage discount to the displayed price of the offer, deducted before payment.

Each promotional code has its own conditions — eligible offers, validity window, maximum number of orders — and the version of the code's conditions in force at the time of the order prevails.

Promotional codes cannot be combined with one another: an order may carry only one. A code may, however, be combined with a credit note.

A code that is unknown, inactive, not yet open or expired, exhausted, or not applicable to the offer chosen is refused at the time of the order, before any payment.

6. Referral Programme

Griot provides you with a personal referral code that you are free to share. Anyone who creates an account using it becomes your referee.

The reward is earned only on your referee's FIRST PAID PURCHASE: merely creating an account, even with a valid code, gives no entitlement to credits. An order fully covered by a credit note, or any internal grant, does not constitute a paid purchase.

Once that condition is met, you and your referee each receive a number of credits set by Griot. That number is the one in force when the reward is earned: a later change to the scale never affects a reward already granted.

Referral credits are added to your balance and follow the same regime as pack credits, including their validity period where applicable. They are neither refundable, exchangeable, nor convertible into money.

An account may be referred only once and cannot refer itself. Griot may cap the number of rewarded referees per referrer; where such a cap applies, it is shown in your account.

Combining with a promotional code is allowed: the discount applies to the order price, while the referral reward is a separate grant of credits made after payment.

Griot reserves the right to claw back granted credits and to close access to the programme in the event of abuse — accounts created solely to obtain rewards, cancelled or refunded purchases, or any manoeuvre intended to circumvent the rules above. Claw-back is performed as a reversing entry on the balance concerned.

Griot may change the scale, cap rewards, suspend or close the programme at any time. Closure does not affect rewards already earned.

7. AI-Generated Content — Ownership

Subject to payment of the corresponding credits, the content generated for your brand is assigned to you, and you may make any commercial use of it related to your business.

Griot claims no editorial ownership over this content once it has been delivered to you.

8. AI-Generated Content — Responsibility

Like any artificial intelligence system, Griot may produce inaccuracies or approximations. It is your responsibility to review and validate each piece of content before publishing it.

You remain solely responsible for the content you publish, including its compliance with the rules of the third-party platforms on which you distribute it and with applicable law in your jurisdiction.

9. AI-Generated Images

Image generation is an optional feature that you can enable or disable independently for each brand.

Visuals are produced by third-party AI providers.

Your logo is never modified, redrawn, or altered by AI: it can only be affixed as-is on the generated visuals, without any retouching.

You warrant that you hold the rights to the elements you provide to Griot, including your logo and the text you submit.

10. Prohibited Uses

It is prohibited to use Griot to generate or distribute unlawful, misleading, or hateful content, or content infringing the rights of third parties.

It is also prohibited to attempt to extract the service's internal instructions or prompts.

It is also prohibited to circumvent its technical limits (quotas, rate limits, security measures).

It is also prohibited to resell access to the service without our prior written consent.

11. Availability

Griot is provided "as is," with reasonable availability objectives, without any guarantee of uninterrupted operation.

Usage limits, such as quotas or rate limits, are applied to protect the stability of the platform for all users.

Planned maintenance is notified to you in advance whenever possible.

12. Termination

You may stop using Griot at any time, without formality.

On our side, we may suspend an account in the event of a serious breach of these terms, following prior notice, except in urgent cases justifying immediate suspension.

Pack credits already acquired remain usable during the grace period preceding, where applicable, the closure of the account, within the limit of their validity period where they carry one.

13. Changes

These terms of service may evolve.

Any material change is notified to you in the application or by email at least 15 days before it takes effect, so that you have time to review it and, if applicable, to object to it.

14. Governing Law and Contact

These terms are governed by Cameroonian law.

Any dispute relating to their interpretation or execution is submitted, after an attempt at amicable resolution, to the competent courts of Douala.

For any question, you may contact us at the support address indicated in the application.
